10 To Wankers: Thanks for the new password for 120 days. I won't be signing up again and I'm sure that you don't give a shit anyway. You'll be making a ton of money from all the others that sign up. I realize that you need to make something to keep going, but I feel like I got misslead. You say that there is 18,000 other websites on AdultCheck but I only looked at two of them and now you and old mens home are changing. I payed (Adultcheck) for a year and I'll only get half of it looking at what I signed up for in the first place. I fully understand the need for some sort of adult pass to help defray the bandwidth charges which a website operator must pay everytime someone downloads a pic from his site. But a membership fee seems to me to be mere capitalist greed. Ed: Well piss on you buddy - if you think this web site isn't worth paying $30 a year to belong to, then don't! 8 John-- Although John at the Oldmen's Home is a good friend of ours and Hank does a lot of programming work for him and we share many things - we are separate websites. We both were using Adultcheck, as are over 12,000 other websites. One AdultCheck password does them all. ( Although most want 'extra' fees). Now we are separated from Adultcheck and are running our own websites. Joining the Oldmen's Home does not get you membership to Wankers Over 50, and joining Wankers Over 50 does not give you membership to the Oldmen's Home. Your Adultcheck password will be usable at wankers.com until Mid-October. Then it will be closed off. The costs of operating an adult website are expensive. This is because visitors tend to stay a long time - 1 to 3 hours - and use lots of bandwidth by looking/downloading pictures. Providers charge us by bandwidth. At the beginning of starting our website, this was not a big issue but now at Wankers.com we have thousands of visitors who, by using their Adultcheck password are using up costly bandwidth every minute. (only if you joined Adultcheck from OUR sign-up page would we receive commission (about $7 per sign-up) but very few did sign-up from here - so we get nothing.) By going private we will reduce the bandwidth usuage and also provide ourselves with sufficient income to pay costs and improve the quality of the website. We will now get 80% of the membership fee you pay, and after October 15th when we close the AdultCheck page - all memberships will be exclusive to Wankers Over 50. Hank's illness was brought on mainly because of the work involved by running this website, helping John with the Oldmen's Home and working a full-time, hardwork, lowpaying day job. Not to mention the stress of a messy and costly divorce that he just went thru. Hope this helps clear up what is happening here. 7 American Express has adopted a new corporate policy, effective immediately...they are terminating all merchant relationships with any business or third party processor who deals with any form of adult-related merchandise or content. When we first started this website as a bit of fun spiced with health issues for older men, last august97 - our intent was not to have explicit photos and graphic stories at all. But as the site grew our readers not only kept asking for photos, but sent them to us. We never realised that so many men, and a few women, were interested in the masturbational habits of older men. Quickly we have obtained a large and growing collection of photos, stories, true confessions and classifieds from, and to, men ages 50 - 90 . We are not radical out-spoken apostles for any gay movement and we still believe that sexual material should be 'hidden' away from minors and others who are not interested. After all, the finding of it heightens the joy. Most of the men who's photos are inside Wankers Over 50 restricted area, would not want their pix readily available to 'accidently' be seen by those without an obvious interest. I'm afraid you will never be able to see photos on the 'public' side of Wankers Over 50. We do print complaints as well as compliments, so read the Letters to the Editor and choose for yourself.
5 What has happened to the updates of the Letters to the Editor? I also would like to make a request. Could [would] you put the music on a button where those who would like to hear it can click on it and the rest of us don't have to be subjected to it. The first fifty times was okay, but I can't help thinking there are others who have gotten sick of My Way. [Hearing, not doing] It plays through my sound module and the settings aren't correct. It is a terrible sound. Yes, I can turn off my sound module, but if I forget and then turn it off, the settings are all wrong the next time I want to use it. Also, my mouse button doesn't work while the music is loading and/or playing. Wouldn't you really like to make an old jacking friend's life a little better?
